John Motors

John Motors is an exciting new funk organ trio from London, UK. Formed in 2020 and comprising of three graduates of the Middlesex University Jazz programme, the band draw on the classic funk traditions, whilst bringing to the mix their own rich musical backgrounds. A heavy focus on the blues is ever-present in the music, with Izzy Stephens (guitar) and Reuben Ard (organ) weaving together rich harmony and strong rhythm. This is backed up by groove-machine Andreas Ziarkas (drums), who grounds the band in heavy percussive funk. Their debut EP ‘Fuel the Groove’ is now available for download and on streaming services!
